Setup
Three steps. No code, nothing to copy.
- 1
Install the plugin
Download Gydr Widget - AI Chat from your Gydr dashboard, upload it under Plugins → Add New in WordPress, and activate it.
- 2
Press Connect
The plugin asks to connect your site. Press Connect and your Gydr dashboard opens.
- 3
Approve it
Check the site address, choose which assistant to show and approve. You land back in WordPress, connected, and the chat is live.
Does your host block outside connections? Paste a one-time connection code from your dashboard instead.
Read the setup guideSigned-in visitors
It knows who is signed in, without asking.
When a member or customer is logged in to your WordPress site, the plugin vouches for them. The assistant can then help with their own account, like their latest order, without asking who they are.
Proof comes from your site
Your site signs a short-lived pass for the logged-in user with a key only it holds. The chat never asks anyone to prove who they are.
Guests stay guests
Visitors who are not logged in chat as normal and are never matched to anyone's account.
Safe with page caching
The sign-in check runs separately from the page, so a cached page can never show one visitor's details to another.

Built for WordPress
Fits the way WordPress sites are run.
- Updates itself
- New versions appear on your Plugins page like any other plugin, and WordPress auto-updates work as usual. Each download is checked against Gydr's published fingerprint before it installs.
- Touches nothing else
- The plugin changes only its own settings. It never edits your theme, WooCommerce or your other plugins.
- No secrets in the browser
- Connecting happens between your site's server and Gydr. No key is copied, pasted or passed through a web page.
- Light on your pages
- The chat loads after your page content, on public pages only, and never inside your admin area.
- Your brand, kept current
- The settings page shows your dashboard's logo, including a White Label logo, and refreshes it by itself.
- Holds no customer data
- Conversations and knowledge live in your Gydr dashboard. The plugin stores only its connection.
Running a WooCommerce store?
Add WooCommerce Storefront and the same assistant searches your products, says what is in stock and answers “Where is my order?”

It adds the chat the standard WordPress way, so it works with themes and page builders that follow WordPress standards, which is nearly all of them.
The chat script loads in the background after your page content, from Gydr's own delivery network, so your pages show first.
WordPress 6.3 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer, with the standard OpenSSL extension that most hosts already include.
No. The plugin works on any WordPress site. If you run WooCommerce, the assistant can also help shoppers find products and check their orders.
The assistant replies in the language your visitor writes in, and the chat window itself is translated into fifty languages.
Yes. Disconnect in the plugin's settings, then remove the site from your Gydr dashboard. Deleting the plugin in WordPress removes everything it stored on your site.
